Off-leash parks, trails & green spaces for dogs across Dallas–Fort Worth
DFW is home to dozens of excellent dog parks and off-leash areas spread across the Metroplex — from sprawling urban parks with separate areas for large and small dogs, to scenic trails along creekways and greenbelt corridors. Getting your dog to an off-leash park regularly provides critical physical exercise, mental stimulation, and socialization that's hard to replicate any other way.
Dallas's park system includes several highly-rated dog parks including Wagging Tail Dog Park, White Rock Lake Dog Park, Bark Park Central (Reverchon Park), and several neighborhood parks with dedicated off-leash areas. The Katy Trail, while technically leash-required, is one of Dallas's most popular dog-walking destinations.
Fort Worth dog owners love Trinity Trails for scenic riverside walks, and the city maintains several dedicated off-leash parks including the Fort Woof Dog Park — one of the largest in DFW. Other popular options include Quanah Parker Park and Clearfork Trail.
Nearly every city in the DFW Metroplex maintains at least one dog park. Notable suburban dog parks include Bob Woodruff Park in Plano, Frisco's Bark Park, McKinney's Bonnie Wenk Park, and the Grapevine Dog Park. Use our search filters to find the closest off-leash area to you.
Always ensure your dog is current on vaccinations before visiting a dog park. Pick up after your dog immediately. Supervise your dog at all times. Leave aggressive dogs at home. Most DFW dog parks prohibit puppies under 4 months of age.
